LEAP Community Store

About the LEAP Community Store

In our nonprofit's 15 years of work with food access in Roanoke City, we've heard from many people. Choosing nutritious foods is a priority for most. Availability and cost of fruits and vegetables are often barriers. Addressing these obstacles is what LEAP is all about.
Opening the LEAP Community Store in Roanoke's West End neighborhood is a way for LEAP to offer fresh, local produce for more shoppers in a convenient setting. By providing customers who have SNAP, WIC, and Medicaid with a way to stretch their food dollars, LEAP helps make good food more affordable.

The LEAP Community Store will open in June 2024. Hours will be: Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from 12-7 pm. The store will take cash, credit, and debit cards. The store will also accept SNAP/EBT in the future, but not during June's soft opening.
Follow LEAP's social media accounts or check back here to learn of the store's first day. After that, stop by to shop for fresh fruits and vegetables, locally produced goods, and kitchen staples.

LEAP is planning a July 2024 Grand Opening. Stay tuned for more details.

The LEAP Community Store is located at 1027 Patterson Ave. SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.
Find it at the front, right-hand side of the building, beside our gravel parking lot.
