It's National Farmers Market Week

Farmers Markets are vital to our community. Here are a few reasons why: Farmers markets preserve farmland, increase access to nutritious food, stimulate local economies, promote sustainability, and support healthy communities.

During National Farmers Market Week, help LEAP raise needed funds by gathering at Parkway Brewing Company on Wednesday, August 10 from 5 to 8 pm. LEAP earns $1 for every beer purchased. (Thanks to all local businesses that support and raise funds for our nonprofit! See more supporters listed on our About page.)

On Saturday, August 13, we'll have a Farmers Market Week Celebration at our Grandin Village Farmers Market from 8 am to noon. There will be live music, cocktails by Lucky, a kids activity table, and more.

Throughout the week, tune in to LEAP's Facebook and Instagram pages to see what Grandin Village Farmers Market farmers and vendors say about what they love about this market and what they can't live without.

This week is a moment to celebrate what we love about our markets. Have a story to share? Hop onto our social media pages and tell us what you love about LEAP's farmers markets!
