LAT Dentistry is a general and family dentistry practice founded by Dr. Lindsay Thorn, DMD, that treats patients from their first tooth through the end of life. Their tagline is "purposefully different," which means a patient's care will be seamless, judgement-free, and of the highest quality. LAT offers a relaxing, spa-like environment with comfort items such as blankets, pillows, and aromatherapy.

LAT has grown from a staff of 2 to a team of over 8! Dr. Thorn is an avid equestrian and animal lover. Almost every team member is either an INFJ or ENFJ personality type!
LAT Dentistry offers gum disease treatment, extractions, TMJ/TMD care, clear aligner orthodontics, crowns, implant restorations, dentures, pediatric care, sleep appliances, sports guards, and more. Dr. Thorn specifically focuses on areas of airway/breathing, TMJ/TMD, bite issues, cosmetics (making smiles more esthetic, beautiful, and natural), as well as Botox treatment.
LAT Dentistry opened in March of 2022, with the intention of helping patients achieve wellness through dentistry while also building them up, telling their stories, and bringing them together. The LAT office has a strong connection to both the community and the environment, and strive to use products that lower our environmental imprint - from biodegradable gloves to reusable "paper" towels in the patient restrooms and more! Tooth pain, fear of the dentist, inability to smile confidently, inability to chew food properly- all these things impact one’s quality of life and health - and we know we can change that for the better!
LAT Dentistry recognizes that there are so many talented individuals and groups doing amazing work in the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas. They share that "We are grateful we get to make an impact while doing out daily work. Each team member is encouraged to bring a "passion project" to the table for the following year, and we collectively vote on which organizations we'd like to support. We also try to support our patients, whether it's highlighting their small business or sponsoring their child's school activity. It's really special to be a small part of it. In 2026, we have pledged to support over 17 different organizations!"
LAT has been an ongoing supporter of LEAP, because they believe that "A community is only as strong as its food supply. We believe that taking care of ones body goes beyond traditional healthcare, and we view the body as a whole system. When people have access to clean, nourishing foods, they can prevent a slew of diseases. We love seeing the work that LEAP does making sure that families have access to affordable, quality food, and also supporting our local farmers, growers and suppliers."
