LOCAL food for all

The LEAP Community Store doubles the value of purchases made by recipients of SNAP, Medicaid, and WIC. When you present your SNAP, WIC, or Medicaid card, you can receive 50% off fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables. Check for the "fresh match eligible" label on certain prepared foods without added ingredients.

Central to LEAP's Mission

In our nonprofit's 15 years of work with food access in Roanoke City, we've heard from many people. Choosing nutritious foods is a priority for most. Availability and cost of fruits and vegetables are often barriers. Addressing these obstacles is what LEAP is all about.

Opening the LEAP Community Store in Roanoke's West End neighborhood is a way for LEAP to offer fresh, local produce for more shoppers in a convenient setting. By providing customers who have SNAP, WIC, and Medicaid with a way to stretch their food dollars, LEAP helps make good food more affordable.
